Five of Swords
conflict · win · cost
Upright
A win that cost the room. Ambition or an argument where being right left you alone.
Reversed
A desire to reconcile after a ugly win, or the lingering wish to keep fighting.
Love
A fight where someone needed to win. Ask what the victory ruined.
Making amends. Pride is the last thing to put down.
Work
Office politics or a hollow success. Do not take the prize if the team is the price.
Walking away from a toxic contest. Let someone else have the point.
Upright, this card leans no. Reversed, it leans yes. The leaning is not a command.
