King of Swords

intellect · authority · ethics

Upright

Ethical authority. Think clearly, decide, and do not hide from the consequence.

Tyranny of the intellect, or a mind used to dominate. Clever is not the same as right.

A truthful, principled bond. Love with standards. Standards without contempt.

Cold control in a relationship. Authority is not intimacy.

Leadership by judgment. Law, strategy, or a final call that has to be fair.

Abusive power or indecision dressed as analysis. Make the ethical call.

Upright, this card leans yes. Reversed, it leans no. The leaning is not a command.
