The Hierophant
tradition · teaching · belief
Upright
A tradition, mentor, or shared practice has something useful to teach. Learn the form before you break it.
Reversed
The inherited rule no longer fits. Question the institution without throwing away every lesson.
Love
A conventional step, a shared value, or advice from someone who knows you. Check that it is yours.
Pressure to look acceptable, or a belief about relationships you never chose. Examine it.
Work
Study with someone competent, or follow the established path long enough to understand it.
A rigid workplace, dogma, or credential is blocking a truer approach. Keep what is useful.
In a yes or no reading this card stays uncertain, upright or reversed. Treat it as maybe.
